Bibbulmun track day 10: Dwellingup (zero day)

June 19th 2021

Days km: 0.0km
Total km:  211.1km

Not much to report today. I resupplied at the IGA (which was really quite expensive). Had a great breakfast of eggs Benedict and coffee at the Blue Wren café. Explored Dwellingup, which took 5 minutes and caught up on more sleep. I also rediscovered the amazingness that is chocolate milk. I may be addicted though as I got a few cartons throughout the day, I was craving it.

In the evening I headed back to the hotel for dinner. My plan was to get something ‘light’ when the kitchen opened at 5pm, and then have something more substantial a few hours later. The loaded fries for $12 looked like they fit the bill. I wish I had taken a picture of them when they came out because the serving was absolutely huuuge. It was on a platter, not a plate and they were smothered in sour cream and cheese. I tried manfully to finish it but I just couldn’t. As delicious as they were I’m ashamed to say I only got 3/4 of the way through before I gave up. All thoughts of having something more substantial were erased. I was beyond full. And waddled back to the caravan park to lie down.

Annoyingly, I had walked over 10km just wandering around on my ‘rest’ day.
