I did not sleep well at all. My back started to stiffen up after I had eaten dinner and it got progressivley worse as the night went on. It made rolling over, which I do a lot, slow and painful. The baffles also chimed in from time to time by popping loudly, which also caused my back to spasm. Joy.
I don’t recall injuring my back, so no idea were it came from.
Thankfully, once I got going and was fully warmed up my back felt like normal. So that was a plus at least. Today was a town day as I was walking into Balingup. So a resupply, some hot food and a shower were on the menu. The walk itself was fairly non-descript. More pleasant walking through the forest, occassionaly skirting farmland. I did meet some northbounders heading to Grimwade and one of them had a zpacks bag. We stopped and talked about gear for a good 10 minutes.
I got into Balingup just after 2pm, which was great because my shi…forelegs, obviously jealous at the attention I had paid to my back this morning, flared up something fierce. I stopped in at the wee supermarket and smashed some chocolate milk before heading down to the Post Office were my accommodation awaited. It was a pretty stellar bunkhouse, having been renovated recently. Apparently it was a bit grim a few years back. On another plus note, I had the whole place to myself.

After a very long shower I headed back to the Supermarket to pick up some frozen pizza. Alas, all the food places in town close at 3pm so I’d have to wait until morning to get a “proper” feed.
I spent a pleasant night resting my weary bones, watching tv, eating junk and trying not to move.
